NYU students lip synced for their lives to determine the school’s reigning drag queen or king. Co-sponsored by the Center for Multicultural Education and Programs, the LGBTQ Center organized the annual NY(DRAG)U, which took place Friday night in Kimmel. Videos submitted prior to the event helped narrow the field down to six drag queens and drag kings, who used lip syncing, dancing and some actual singing to face off. The night included performances by Murray Hill and BeBe Zahara Benet, the first ever winner of Rupaul’s Drag Race. Former winners Lil Dick and Minnie Cupcakes returned to judge the celebration of acceptance and confidence.
